Adnan Kazim stated that Emirates partnered with Air China 26 years ago. This partnership began in July 1999. Since 2018, around 18,000 Emirates customers have benefited from it.
Recently, they announced two new cities: Shenzhen and Hangzhou. This will enhance their operations in East Asia. Shenzhen will feature Emirates' new Premium Economy cabin.
Kazim expressed excitement about expanding investments in mainland China. He looks forward to deepening the partnership with Air China. This aims to meet growing travel demand and improve trade connections.
Yan Fei emphasized the importance of cooperation with Emirates. The memorandum signed marks a significant milestone for both airlines. Air China supports the Belt and Road Initiative through this collaboration.
Under the MOU, both airlines will explore reciprocal codeshare agreements on select routes. This allows each airline to use its code on the other's flights. They aim to expand connectivity between China and the UAE.
Emirates and Air China will also work together on cargo operations. They plan to enhance their frequent flyer loyalty programs as well. This will benefit travelers and businesses alike.
To improve customer experience, they will coordinate flight schedules and connecting times. Once implemented, customers can enjoy seamless booking processes and single ticket itineraries.
Both carriers intend to share best practices in various areas like revenue management and digitalization. They also plan joint visits for knowledge sharing.
Starting July 30, Emirates will operate 49 weekly flights to mainland China. This includes double daily services to Beijing and Shanghai. Daily flights will also be available to Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Hangzhou.
This expansion reflects stronger UAE-China ties and Emirates' commitment to the Belt and Road Initiative.
