Edward Bawa has handed over his role as Acting CEO of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) to Kwame Ntow Amoah following his reassignment to GOIL.

Bawa was initially appointed by President John Dramani Mahama but was quickly reassigned to GOIL as Managing Director and Group CEO.

In his farewell message on February 17, Bawa expressed gratitude to the President for the opportunity to serve at GNPC, albeit briefly, and acknowledged the support of GNPC’s management and staff.

He reflected on navigating challenges and contributing to the energy sector's growth.

Bawa looks forward to fostering partnerships, driving innovation, and supporting Ghana’s energy development in his new role at GOIL, emphasizing his commitment to a sustainable and prosperous future for the industry.
