Executive Director of Ghana Foundation for Sickle Gene Action honoured

Victoria Awo Twumasi expressed her gratitude to God for His guidance. She thanked her late mentor, Prof Kwaku Ohene-Frempong, and fellow patient advocacy groups. She acknowledged their collective efforts for better healthcare for those with Sickle Cell Disease.

Twumasi stated that the trophy represents renewed dedication to their mission. She feels excited and honored by this achievement. Her team started from humble beginnings, building on her mentor's foundation.

She dedicated the award to everyone in the Sickle Cell community making a positive impact. This includes her team, board members of the Ghana Foundation for Sickle Gene Action, and global partners.
