Finance and Energy Ministers collaborate on energy sector challenges

Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson met with Energy Minister John Abdulai Jinapor on March 12 to discuss Ghana’s energy challenges and transition plans. Jinapor described Forson as a brother and colleague, emphasizing the importance of their discussions in ensuring energy security and economic growth.

Separately, the Energy Ministry, Ghana Gas, and GCB Bank are working to revamp the Ghana Cylinder Manufacturing Company (GCMC) to boost local LPG cylinder production.

A committee has been formed to develop a revitalization roadmap for cabinet approval, with a Joint Project Implementation Committee set to oversee execution.

These efforts align with the government’s commitment to sustainable energy solutions, local manufacturing growth, and economic stability.
