The Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) has announced a delay in the first direct flight from London Gatwick to Kumasi’s Prempeh I International Airport.

Initially scheduled for December 3, 2024, the flight’s arrival has been postponed due to short notice. GACL assured that the flight is now expected later this week.

Meanwhile, the next scheduled flight from London Gatwick to Kumasi, set for December 15, remains unaffected.

This marks a significant step for Kumasi’s international connectivity, with Ethiopian Airlines also gearing up to begin direct London-Kumasi flights on December 3.

The development signals growing interest in regional travel but highlights operational challenges in meeting schedules effectively.
