FirstBank made a generous donation to the Ga Mantse’s education fund.
The bank provided cash, bottled water, drinks, and Kaiser Imperial schnapps. This is part of traditional customs when visiting a chief’s palace.
The delegation was led by Managing Director Mr. Victor Yaw Asante. He described the visit as respectful and purposeful.
“Our main reason for coming is to support the education fund,” he said. “We are committing GH₵50,000 this year and plan to make this annual.”
Mr. Asante emphasized that this is not a one-time gesture. The Paramount Chief actively supports education for needy children.
FirstBank wants to partner with him in this effort. “The Ga Mantse has done much for education,” he explained.
He also mentioned the bank's support for other social causes, like the Homowo Festival. This festival celebrates Ga culture and traditions.
“We provide social support directly or through organizations,” he added. “This partnership with the Ga Mantse is one of many.”
The spokesperson for the Paramount Chief received the donation on behalf of the Ga State. He expressed gratitude to FirstBank and sought blessings for its growth.
He praised the timely gesture, noting its importance for community education. This donation highlights a growing partnership between corporate Ghana and traditional authorities.
Together, they aim to foster development in education, health, and cultural preservation.
