Fitch Solutions warns that Ghana's economic growth could significantly slow in 2025 due to expected post-election austerity measures.
While the country is projected to experience strong growth in 2024, driven by private consumption, the pace of growth in this area is expected to decelerate from 8.5% in 2024 to 5.5% in 2025.
Consequently, Ghana’s overall GDP growth is forecasted to slow to 4.4% in 2025, down from 5.5% in 2024.
Despite this slowdown, Ghana's growth is expected to outpace the Sub-Saharan Africa average of 3.6%, maintaining its position as a regional outperformer.
