GCB Bank commiserates with Katamanto market fire victims, assures insurance support for over 100 customers

GCB Bank has expressed condolences to traders affected by the devastating fire at the Katamanto market on January 2, 2025. During a visit to the scene, Sina Kamagate, Executive Head of Retail Banking, assured affected customers of the Bank’s support.

GCB highlighted its Value-Added Package, an insurance product for Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs), which covers emergencies like fires. The Bank announced it would begin insurance claims for affected customers, with over 100 identified so far.

Additionally, GCB is offering short-term loans under its Six-Month Short-Term Loan (STL) facility to help businesses rebuild. The Bank reiterated its commitment to supporting customers and fostering resilience in tough times.
