GIPC welcomes new CEO, Dr Bernice Makafui Brempong

The Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) has appointed Dr. Bernice Makafui Brempong as its new Chief Executive Officer.

She takes over from Yofi Grant, who served until December 30, 2024.

Dr. Brempong is a results-driven professional with a strong background in business development and healthcare.

She holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of Ghana’s School of Pharmacy.

Additionally, she earned a Master of Science in Entrepreneurship from University College London and a Doctor of Pharmacy from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.

Although trained as a pharmacist, Dr. Brempong is an innovative business leader.

She has founded and led successful companies in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, and commodity sectors.

Her work has significantly contributed to Ghana’s socio-economic development.

Before her new role, Dr. Brempong was the CEO of Makhealth Pharmaceuticals Ltd.

She also held leadership positions at Synergy Commodities Ltd. and D-Amphora Ltd.

As an advocate for Ghana’s health economy, she believes attracting health-related investments is crucial for growth.

Upon her appointment, Dr. Brempong committed to collaborating with stakeholders.

Her goal is to enhance Ghana’s business environment and strengthen its investment appeal in Africa.
