The Commissioner General of the Ghana Revenue Authority, Anthony Kwasi Sarpong, has announced that all Electronic Transfer Levy deductions made after April 2, 2025, will be refunded.
This follows a directive to suspend the levy, with a Secured Gazette Notice issued to repeal it.
During a GRA management retreat in Akosombo, Mr. Sarpong highlighted that charging entities must adjust their systems to halt the levy on transactions by April 3.
He reassured citizens that refunds would be processed for any charges applied after April 2, and steps are being taken to ensure proper reconciliation.
The retreat also focused on strategic planning to meet the nation’s revenue targets for the year.
