In a joint move to ease the cost of doing business at Ghana’s ports, the Ghana Shippers Authority (GSA) and Meridian Port Services (MPS) have announced a strategic partnership to reduce port charges for shippers.

Unveiled on April 4, 2025, the collaboration aims to enhance trade efficiency and make Ghana’s ports more competitive.

GSA’s Executive Secretary described the initiative as a critical step in supporting local and international trade by lowering operational costs.

MPS officials pledged full commitment to improving port services and addressing key challenges confronting the shipping industry.

The partnership underscores the growing importance of stakeholder cooperation in streamlining logistics and strengthening the country’s trade infrastructure.
