The Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) saw a significant rise in trading activity, with share volumes increasing by 923.14% to 1.2 million and total trading value soaring by 3111.85% to GHS 7.69 million.
MTNGH rose by GHS 0.05 to close at GHS 2.65, while GLD dropped by GHS 10.24 to end at GHS 405.96. CAL Bank led in volume, with 571,662 shares traded worth GHS 217,231.56. The GSE Composite Index gained 53.32 points to close at 5,055.49, reflecting a YTD return of 3.42%.
Market capitalization rose by GHS 632.11 million to GHS 113.64 billion. While banking and mining equities showed minimal activity, investor sentiment improved, highlighting a mixed but active market environment.
