Ghana Cylinder Manufacturing Company to be revamped

The Ministry of Energy and Green Transition, in collaboration with Ghana Gas and GCB Bank, has initiated plans to revamp the Ghana Cylinder Manufacturing Company (GCMC) to boost production capacity and efficiency.

At a March 12 meeting, chaired by Energy Minister John Abdulai Jinapor, discussions focused on forming a strategic partnership to support full-scale operations. Jinapor emphasized GCMC’s potential to drive local manufacturing and support the clean energy agenda.

A committee will develop a roadmap for cabinet approval, and if approved, a Joint Project Implementation Committee will oversee the execution. The meeting included key stakeholders from GCMC, Ghana Gas, GCB Bank, and the Ministry of Finance.
