Ghana’s vegetable exports hit $48 million in 2024, up from $26 million in 2023, according to the Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA).

At an event organized by the Israel Embassy’s Economic and Trade Mission, stakeholders met with Israeli farmers and innovators to explore solutions for post-harvest losses, irrigation, climate change, and international market standards.

GEPA’s Raymond Rashid Kramer emphasized Ghana’s potential for export diversification, citing its favorable climate and strategic location. He highlighted Israel’s expertise as key to improving yields and exports under Ghana’s 24-hour economy and the AfCFTA.

Israel’s Ambassador Roey Gilad reaffirmed Israel’s commitment to agricultural partnerships, while Dr. Felix Kamassah of the Vegetable Producers and Exporters Association urged government support for irrigation and climate-smart technologies.
