Dr. Ishmael Yamson, Chairman of the National Economic Dialogue, urged the private sector to take an active role in reviving Ghana’s struggling economy rather than waiting for government intervention.
Speaking on Joy News’ PM Express Business Edition on March 6, he emphasized that private companies, with their superior discipline and efficiency, can offer vital expertise and help shape policy through collaboration with the public sector.
Yamson reassured foreign investors, stating that Ghana has reached its lowest economic point and improvement is on the horizon. He highlighted renewed national efforts at self-reflection and course correction, pledging that lessons from past policy missteps will not be repeated.
Ultimately, Yamson called on all stakeholders to stay, invest, and work together to reset Ghana’s economic trajectory for a better future.
