Abdel Razak Yakubu, Executive Secretary of the Gold Fields Ghana Foundation, encouraged graduates of the foundation's Community Apprenticeship Programme to fully utilize the skills and tools provided for personal and community growth.

During the graduation ceremony for 33 trainees in Bompieso, Yakubu expressed concerns about previous instances where beneficiaries failed to use the startup tools, such as sewing and knitting machines, leading to repossession.

The two-year program, in collaboration with the Garages Association and National Vocational Training Institute, trained 48 participants, with 33 graduating. The initiative aimed to reduce unemployment by providing tools and entrepreneurship training.

The Obaahema of Bompieso suggested extending the training period to three or four years for greater mastery of skills. Advocating for TVET, Madam Ivy Yeboah highlighted its importance in tackling unemployment and poverty.
