He urged the Company to continue supporting community development.
The visit ended with an agreement to enhance collaboration between both parties.
Mr. Alexander Gyedu, General Manager of the Ghana Bauxite Company, spoke about recent changes.
These changes occurred after Ofori-Poku Company Limited became the major shareholder in 2022.
They have improved human resources, machinery, vehicles, and production levels.
Mr. Gyedu stressed that the Company values its employees' welfare and growth.
As of February 2025, their workforce increased from 483 to 1,158 employees.
Plans are in place to hire more staff to boost production further.
Ghana Bauxite Company Limited is Ghana's only operating mine currently owned by Ofori-Poku Company Limited (OPCL).
OPCL holds an 80% interest while the Government of Ghana has a 20% stake through GIADEC.
