A KPMG 2025 Pre-Budget Survey warns that abolishing the Covid-19 and E-levy taxes could lead to a GH¢6.4 billion revenue shortfall.
To offset this, respondents recommend leveraging technology to enhance property rate collection, reviewing digital and e-commerce taxation, and strengthening public financial management.
The survey also highlights the need to curb wasteful spending and close procurement loopholes. Additionally, KPMG suggests that Ghana’s proposed 24-hour economy should focus on sectors like manufacturing, transport, healthcare, retail, hospitality, and digital services.
Respondents believe that new policy initiatives in the 2025 budget could support economic recovery.
