At an event in Accra's Mobility Showrooms, Mr. Avraam spoke about the group's goals. They aim to promote Honorary Consuls' roles through strong partnerships. Their focus is on building capacity for production and technology transfers. This aligns with Ghana's developmental goals.
The active members of HCCGH significantly contribute to trade and cultural promotion. They represent their countries while supporting local communities. For 2024, HCCGH plans community service projects that include donations to two organizations in Accra.
Mr. Avraam wished success to the newly elected officers. He believes their experience will elevate the Honorary Consular Corps of Ghana.
HCCGH has 32 members out of 41 accredited consuls in Ghana. These members represent countries from all continents. The Corps is part of the World Federation of Consuls (FICAC), which includes 75 member countries. It also holds United Nations recognition as an NGO with ECOSOC Status.
Honorary Consuls are professionals and executives in various sectors like manufacturing and agriculture. They often invest in tourism, energy, trade, oil and gas, construction, real estate, transport, logistics, media, and legal services. Their contributions help grow the Ghanaian economy.
It is crucial to highlight how Honorary Consuls attract foreign direct investment (FDI). They lead successful businesses that create jobs and enhance wealth in the country.
