Hoefman Laboratories donates medical equipment to Ridge Hospital’s Antenatal Unit

A firm specializing in gynaecological products donated supplies of Vivagest supplements.

Mr. Ameyaw stated that the formulation includes essential nutrients. These include folic acid, vitamin D3, iodine, omega-3, vitamin B12, and vitamin E. These nutrients support fertility and reduce miscarriage risks. They also promote healthy fetal development.

“We are supporting women as part of our vision,” he added. “We hope to extend our donations to other facilities across the country.”

Staff at Ridge Hospital welcomed the donation as timely. Martey Felicia is the Principal Midwifery Officer and Nurse Manager at the Antenatal Unit. She noted that equipment often breaks down, disrupting services for expectant mothers.

“Though we receive supplies periodically, some devices malfunction over time,” she said. “This donation will help us work more efficiently.”

Martey urged pregnant women to avoid self-medication and unhealthy choices during pregnancy. “They should always consult their caregivers for safe deliveries,” she advised.

The donation is part of Hoefman Laboratories’ mission to support maternal and reproductive health across Africa.
