A recent study by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) projects that Ghana will create nine million digital jobs by 2030, generating nearly $4 billion in revenue.
The report identifies two primary revenue streams: a business-to-consumer (B2C) market generating $320 million and a business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-government (B2G) sector worth $4 billion.
This digital growth will create 20 million training opportunities, requiring skills across basic, intermediate, and advanced levels.
Despite the potential, Ghana faces a skills gap, particularly in advanced digital roles, which could hinder economic progress.
To capitalize on this opportunity, the government must prioritize digital skills development and educational reform, while collaborations between the public and private sectors are crucial for achieving these goals.
