The International Finance Corporation (IFC) is playing a key role in strengthening Ghana's financial sector through its Financial Institutions Group (FIG).

Focused on financial inclusion, SME development, and sustainable financing, the IFC collaborates with local banks and financial institutions to enhance access to financing for small businesses, women entrepreneurs, and underserved groups.

Key initiatives include the Ghana SME Programme, risk-sharing partnerships with banks like Access Bank Ghana and Société Générale, and advisory services to improve financial systems.

The IFC also supports environmental projects through Green Bonds Guidelines and fosters long-term economic growth by attracting private capital. In December, the IFC will co-host the Africa Financial Industry Summit to advance financial sector resilience across the continent.
