The Importers and Exporters Association of Ghana has made a request. They want the Ghana Gold Board (Goldbod) to keep working hard. Their goal is to help the Ghanaian cedi appreciate against the US dollar and other currencies.
This request came during a visit to Goldbod's CEO, Sammy Gyamfi. The association wanted to congratulate him on his recent appointment.
Samson Asaki Awingobit, the Executive Secretary, spoke on behalf of the association. He praised Mr. Gyamfi for his expertise and leadership in the sector.
Awingobit expressed hope that under Mr. Gyamfi’s leadership, Goldbod will make significant progress. He believes Goldbod can help stabilize the country’s currency through gold-related initiatives.
In response, Mr. Gyamfi thanked the association for their visit and support. He confirmed Goldbod’s commitment to strong strategies for supporting the local currency.
Mr. Gyamfi stated that Goldbod's ongoing operations will help sustain the cedi's appreciation. He emphasized that these efforts are crucial for strengthening Ghana’s macroeconomic stability.
