Rev. (Mrs.) Angela Carmen Appiah is the President of IoD-Gh. She said the visit was part of the Institute’s commitment to giving back.
“Today, we celebrate 25 years of ethical leadership,” she stated. “We are proud to support a school that embodies education, love, and inclusiveness.”
She emphasized that true leadership improves lives. Supporting this school reflects their values of care and social responsibility.
Rev. Appiah also mentioned environmental sustainability in her speech. She hopes future funds will support assistive technologies and infrastructure upgrades.
These efforts aim to create eco-friendly learning tools for students. She urged other members to continuously support such causes.
Charity should be an ongoing effort, not a one-time event. The excited students performed songs and dances to thank their guests.
Mr. Frederick Tetteh is the Headmaster of Dzorwulu Special School. He expressed gratitude to IoD-Gh and partners like AFRAM Publications for their support.
He noted that many underestimate what children can achieve with help. With proper assistance, they can excel beyond expectations.
Some students struggle with fine motor skills but improve through activities like coloring. This helps them develop writing abilities for exams.
Mr. Tetteh called IoD-Gh “a true friend” to the school. He praised their long-standing support over the years.
“Since I joined this school, IoD-Gh has been with us,” he said gratefully. “You have treated this school like your own.”
This donation is part of several activities planned by IoD-Gh for its silver jubilee celebration. The goal is to highlight ethical leadership's role in building a fairer society.
