Professor Philip Antwi-Agyei of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has been selected to join the High-Level Panel of Experts on Food Security and Nutrition (HLPE-FSN) under the UN Committee on World Food Security (CFS).
He will contribute to a report on building resilient food systems, set for presentation at the 53rd CFS Plenary Session in October 2025.
An expert in climate change adaptation and sustainable agriculture, Prof. Antwi-Agyei's research focuses on assessing climate vulnerabilities and enhancing food security. He has received multiple international grants and fellowships for his work.
The interdisciplinary HLPE-FSN team, led by Alison Blay-Palmer of Canada, includes global experts in nutrition, human rights, and environmental sciences, ensuring a holistic approach to addressing agricultural vulnerabilities and food system resilience.
