The newly appointed CEO of the Ghana Enterprises Agency (GEA), Margaret Ansei, has stressed the need to empower women entrepreneurs with tools, resources, and opportunities to thrive in competitive markets.
Speaking at the 2025 International Women’s Day (IWD) celebration, she emphasized that investing in women-led businesses is key to economic growth.
She highlighted GEA’s BizBox project, including Ghana Mall, to connect women-led businesses to local and international markets. Mrs. Ansei also urged financial institutions to develop gender-responsive credit solutions.
The event, attended by government officials and stakeholders, featured a forum and trade fair. She concluded by calling for real, measurable action to ensure women’s success benefits families, communities, and the nation.
