Leverage SML Ghana platform to increase revenue ...Prof. Boateng urges govt

Professor Douglas Boateng is the CEO of PanAvest International and Partners. He has urged the government to use Strategic Mobilisation Ghana Limited (SML) to reduce revenue loss in the extractive sector.

He called SML's platform "a generational innovation." He believes it can reshape Africa's governance and secure its industrial future.

Speaking at SML's fifth anniversary celebration in Accra, he highlighted its importance. Professor Boateng, a supply chain governance expert, said SML shows "innovation by intention." This contrasts with "innovation by import."

The event focused on "The Five-Year Experience in the Downstream Petroleum Sector." It aimed to share SML's achievements over five years. Key industry stakeholders and regulatory bodies attended to discuss transparency, compliance, and operational efficiency improvements in Ghana’s downstream petroleum sector.
