A high-level delegation from the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC) visited Nsawam-Adoagyiri. They met with Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Philibert Selorm Fummey. The purpose was to explore ways to enhance local economic empowerment.
The visit was led by Mr. Obibini Richard Lartey, MASLOC's Deputy Chief Executive for Finance and Administration. He reaffirmed MASLOC’s commitment to supporting entrepreneurs and small businesses in the area.
Mr. Lartey congratulated MCE Fummey on his recent nomination and confirmation. He praised Fummey for fostering unity and calm since taking office.
He expressed MASLOC's eagerness to partner with the Assembly for financial interventions. These efforts aim to uplift the local economy through accessible microcredit and support services.
In response, MCE Fummey thanked the delegation for their visit. He pledged full support for MASLOC’s initiatives. He emphasized the need for collaboration between both institutions.
This would maximize the socio-economic impact of MASLOC’s operations in the municipality. The delegation included several key members, such as Mr. Godwin Fiamor Webu, Municipal Administrator, and others.
During the tour, they inspected the MASLOC Zonal Office in the area. They found that this facility had been reassigned to another department. This raised concerns among MASLOC leaders.
They appealed to MCE Fummey to reinstate the original office space or find a suitable alternative. This is important for ensuring staff security and operational efficiency.
While interacting with MASLOC staff, Mr. Lartey encouraged professionalism and responsibility ownership. He stressed timely communication regarding critical administrative changes.
MASLOC remains committed to deepening its grassroots presence and expanding access to microcredit. They aim to advance inclusive local development through strategic partnerships.
