MSMEs, FBOs benefit from capacity-building initiative

The training for this cohort targets over 250 MSMEs and FBOs nationwide. So far, more than 62 MSMEs have completed intensive capacity-building sessions. These workshops are tailored to different business stages.

Expert facilitators led the training. They ensured participants gained knowledge and developed actionable strategies for growth. A key feature of the program is its personalized approach.

MSMEs were grouped based on their unique challenges and growth potential. This allowed for targeted training that meets their specific needs.

KIC is committed to providing five months of post-training coaching and support. This reinforces lessons learned and helps businesses overcome operational hurdles.

Mr. Benjamin Gyan-Kesse, KIC’s Executive Director, spoke at the training. He emphasized KIC’s dedication to nurturing agribusiness entrepreneurs. “Our goal is to equip MSMEs with tools for resilient, scalable businesses,” he stated.

This program shows KIC’s commitment to sustainable growth in Ghana’s agribusiness sector. The Business Booster Training aims to create long-term economic impact by strengthening MSMEs.

Many participants expressed gratitude for the transformative training experience. Christabel Ansah from Accra shared her story: “Before this training, I struggled with financial management.”

She added, “Now I understand budgeting and record-keeping.” The program has given her confidence to elevate her business.

Ernest Obimpeh, Founder of Focus Farms, found the risk management training eye-opening. He now has a clear plan for managing risks and securing funding.

With continued support from KIC and Mastercard Foundation, these MSMEs will leverage their new knowledge. They aim to enhance their businesses, create jobs, and contribute to Ghana’s agribusiness ecosystem.
