MTN MobileMoney recognizes key partners, agents and merchants as it celebrates 15 years of MoMo in Ghana

MobileMoney Ltd (MML) celebrated its 15th anniversary by holding awards across Ghana to recognize high-performing Partners, Agents, and Merchants who contributed to the growth of MTN MoMo.

CEO Shaibu Haruna expressed gratitude to the Bank of Ghana and its partners for supporting financial inclusion. He highlighted MoMo's impact on Ghana’s FinTech sector, employment, government revenue, and the creation of digital entrepreneurs.

The company is focused on expanding digital payments, cross-border transactions, insurance, and e-commerce. Award recipients included Archie Hesse for FinTech Champion of the Decade, Hubtel as Overall Best FinTech Company, and I.K. Bediako as Best National Agent.

The celebration also featured a customer promotion float, a stakeholder forum, and digital finance training. Since its launch in 2009, MoMo has revolutionized financial services in Ghana, offering millions access to mobile money services.
