President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Ms. Justina Nelson as the acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Minerals Income and Investment Fund (MIIF) following the dismissal of Edward Nana Yaw Koranteng.
The revocation, effective immediately, was communicated in a letter signed by Callistus Mahama, Secretary to the President, dated January 13, 2025.
In a statement issued on January 14, acting presidential spokesperson Felix Kwakye Ofosu announced Nelson’s appointment. She brings over 20 years of banking experience, currently serving as Group Head at Zenith Bank (Ghana) with oversight of energy and commercial banking.
Nelson holds advanced degrees in Corporate Law and Business Administration from the University of Ghana and a Bachelor of Law degree from GIMPA, making her well-suited to lead the MIIF during this transitional phase.
