‘Mahama has set the tone, now his team must follow’ – Dr Ishmael Yamson

Former Unilever Ghana boss and MTN Ghana Board Chair, Dr. Ishmael Yamson, has called on President Mahama to lead by example and demonstrate the reset agenda from the top.

Speaking on Joy News’ PM Express on March 6, he praised the president's reduction of ministers from over 100 to 60 as a significant step but warned that fiscal discipline must remain the top priority for the finance minister to ensure macroeconomic stability.

He expressed confidence in Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson and stressed that even with a limited four-year mandate, the government must visibly lay a strong foundation.

Emphasizing the need for transparency and honesty, he cautioned that leaders must make sacrifices themselves before expecting citizens to follow, asserting that true transformation starts with leadership by example.
