Mahama urged to prioritise urgent highway repairs for economic growth

Alhaji Musah Abubakari, Managing Director of Basfam Company Limited, has appealed to President John Dramani Mahama to urgently address the poor condition of the Accra-Takoradi-Cape Coast highways.

He emphasized that these critical roads are vital for business and travel, and their neglect hampers economic progress while endangering lives.

In an interview, Alhaji Abubakari praised President Mahama’s recent electoral victory and peaceful swearing-in, attributing it to divine intervention.

He highlighted his responsibility as a business leader to advocate for improvements to these “death trap zones,” which play a key role in Ghana’s economic and social activities.

Additionally, Alhaji Abubakari commended the President for his maturity in prioritizing solutions over blaming past administrations. He urged the government to uphold accountability and take immediate steps to ensure safe and efficient road infrastructure.
