Kwame Governs Agbodza, the Minister of Roads and Highways, assured road contractors that the government would settle debts left behind by the previous administration.

Speaking after inspecting abandoned road projects in Sunyani and Sunyani West Municipalities, Agbodza emphasized the government's commitment to completing stalled projects, including the Alaska Road project initiated by the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

He highlighted that President John Dramani Mahama is focused on fulfilling financial obligations to contractors.

Agbodza urged contractors to resume work promptly, reassuring them that efforts were underway to address financial challenges and ensure timely payments.

The minister was accompanied by several Members of Parliament and regional officials during the inspection .
