Minister to engage US Ambassador on imposition of 10% tariff on Ghana  - Ghana Business News

Mr. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, will meet with Madam Virginia Palmer. She is the United States Ambassador to Ghana. This meeting is scheduled for Monday, April 7.

The purpose of the meeting is to clarify the US's decision. The US has imposed a 10 percent tariff on Ghanaian goods. Mr. Ablakwa confirmed this in a statement.

On Wednesday, April 2, President Donald Trump announced the tariff. It applies to Ghanaian goods imported into the US. This tariff increase affects about one hundred countries worldwide.
