Monetary Policy Committee of BoG maintains policy rate at 28%

The Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) of the Bank of Ghana has kept the policy rate at 28 percent.

Dr. Johnson Asiama, the committee's chairman and Governor of the BoG, announced this decision.

He made the announcement during a press briefing on May 23, 2025.

The committee decided to maintain the rate due to inflation risks.

Currently, inflation stands at 21.2 percent.
