NLA boss gets African Lotteries Association top job

The Director-General of the National Lottery Authority (NLA), Mohammed Abdul-Salam, has been appointed Vice President of the African Lotteries Association (ALA), succeeding Hon. Samuel Awuku. The ALA Board unanimously approved his appointment to serve out the remainder of Awuku’s term.

During an online ALA Executive Meeting, President Dramane Coulibaly congratulated Abdul-Salam, who subsequently visited Loterie Nationale de Côte d’Ivoire (LONACI). There, he was warmly received by LONACI’s Director-General and ALA President Coulibaly.

In his new role, Abdul-Salam expressed gratitude for the appointment, pledged to build on his predecessor’s legacy, and vowed to strengthen ties between NLA and LONACI.

He also noted his intention to incorporate LONACI’s revenue-boosting practices and congratulated them on receiving the WLA Level 2 Certification in Responsible Gaming.
