The National Service Authority (NSA), under the leadership of Director-General Osei Assibey Antwi, is scaling up its agriculture module to create 320,000 jobs for young Ghanaians, with 70% reserved for women and persons with disabilities.

Speaking at an orientation for 500 graduates in Kasoa, Mr. Assibey unveiled the Harnessing Agricultural Productivity and Prosperity for Youth (HAPPY) program, which aims to enhance food production by 190,000 tons, generate over $200 million in annual revenue, and reduce food imports by 10%.

The initiative, supported by eight partners including Agri-Impact, MoFA, and the MasterCard Foundation, will train graduates to cultivate 20,000 hectares, creating agribusiness opportunities for nearly 82,000 youth.

“This is not just farming; it’s nation-building,” Mr. Assibey emphasized, highlighting the program's potential to bolster food security and drive economic growth.
