The National Association of Rural Banks held a two-day workshop in Sunyani. This workshop focused on psychological safety for CEOs and Board Members of Rural Banks.
The goal was to provide participants with knowledge to improve the Rural Banking industry. Attendees came from the Bono, Ahafo, and Bono East Regions, along with five Northern Regions.
Solomon Amankwah, Executive Director of the Association, stressed the training's importance. He noted that psychological safety helps CEOs build better relationships with employees. This creates a workplace where staff feel valued and comfortable.
Adjei Tannor, President of the Association in Bono and Ahafo, spoke about past training successes. He believes this workshop will further enhance growth and stability in the sector.
Felix Nkansah Asare, Administrator for the Association, praised Rural Banks for their service quality. He mentioned that some Rural Banks are more profitable than commercial banks.
This training highlights the Association's commitment to ongoing capacity building. It aims to keep rural banking institutions strong and competitive in Ghana’s financial landscape.
