Prof. Stephen Adei, a renowned economist, praised the National Economic Dialogue held on March 3-4 at the Accra International Conference Centre for its role in gathering stakeholder ideas for national development.
Speaking on KeyPoints, he lamented that previous governments failed to capitalize on similar forums, missing opportunities for collective problem-solving. Despite not being formally invited, he humorously noted that his name tag was already prepared, reflecting his expected participation.
Adei stressed that Ghana’s development could be accelerated if a stable government remained in power for 20 years, even if led by different presidents rather than experiencing frequent changes that disrupt continuity in projects and policies.
His remarks underscore the importance of consistent leadership and proactive stakeholder engagement in driving Ghana's economic progress.
