Former Finance Minister and MP for Karaga, Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam, has stated that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will soon decide whether to accept President John Dramani Mahama’s invitation to the upcoming National Economic Dialogue.
Speaking to Joy News on February 27, Dr. Adam noted, “The party will decide on this. What the party decides on will be communicated.”
President Mahama, in his maiden State of the Nation Address (SONA), urged the NPP and its Minority in Parliament not to boycott the dialogue, as they did with the 2014 Senchi Forum.
Scheduled for March 3–4, 2025, at the Accra International Conference Centre, the National Economic Dialogue aims to address Ghana’s economic challenges and propose solutions for sustainable growth. President Mahama will deliver the keynote address on “Resetting Ghana: Building the Economy We Want Together.”
The forum will bring together stakeholders from the private sector, academia, public policy institutions, and civil society to foster consensus on economic reforms and policies.
