New CMC boss pledges innovation, inclusion and staff welfare

Dr. Wisdom Kofi Dogbey is the new Managing Director of the Cocoa Marketing Company (CMC). He promises to lead with innovation, inclusivity, and a focus on staff welfare.

At a staff event in Tema, Dr. Dogbey thanked President John Dramani Mahama and Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson for their support. He also appreciated the leadership of CMC for their confidence in him.

Dr. Dogbey called CMC a "respected leader in the cocoa industry." He stressed its importance for Ghana's economic recovery and growth.

He shared his vision to make CMC globally competitive in cocoa marketing. This will be achieved through quality, sustainability, and empowering stakeholders.

"We are all part of one team," he said. He emphasized that everyone matters and should feel valued. He wants to create a culture where employees are referred to as "team members."

Staff morale and welfare are top priorities for him. He promised an open-door leadership style and an inclusive environment.

"No one will be victimized for sharing honest feedback," he assured employees. His doors will be open to everyone, regardless of position or political views.

To promote innovation, he announced a digital suggestion box for anonymous contributions from all staff levels. "Innovation and efficiency will be at the heart of our strategy," he stated.

Dr. Dogbey encouraged senior management to identify talent within the organization. He also promised improved working conditions and better staff benefits.

"Together, we can build a stronger CMC and achieve remarkable goals," he concluded.
