New GRA boss assures MTN of strong collaboration as tax partners

The Acting Commissioner General of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), Anthony Kwasi Sarpong, has pledged to build a strong collaboration with MTN Ghana, one of the country’s top taxpayers.

As part of efforts to enhance engagement with taxpayers, Mr. Sarpong visited MTN to assure its management of government support and strengthen private sector relations.

He emphasized the importance of partnering with key tax contributors, referring to them as "tax customers", to ensure smooth business operations and efficient tax collection.

MTN Ghana’s CEO, Stephen Blewett, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to tax compliance and transparency. He pledged MTN’s active participation in revenue mobilization dialogues.

The GRA delegation included top management officials, reinforcing the Authority’s dedication to fostering mutual growth with the private sector.
