President of Ghana Insurers Association, Seth Aklasi appointed Ag. MD of Ghana Reinsurance Company

President John Mahama has appointed Seth Aklasi, President of the Ghana Insurers Association and former Managing Director of Donewell Insurance, as the acting Managing Director of Ghana Reinsurance Company PLC.

He takes over from Monica Amissah, who previously acted as Managing Director. A handing-over ceremony is scheduled for February 18, 2025.

Mr. Aklasi is a seasoned business leader with 25 years of experience in finance and insurance, specializing in underwriting, risk management, and corporate strategy.

He holds an MSc in Insurance and Risk Management from Bayes Business School and is a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Ghana.

Ghana Reinsurance PLC is the largest and first reinsurance company established in Ghana, serving over 300 clients across Africa, with offices in Kenya, Morocco, and Cameroon.
