Dr. Ishmael Yamson, Chairman of the National Economic Dialogue, has urged Ghana’s private sector to take an active role in reviving the country’s struggling economy instead of waiting for government intervention.
Speaking on Joy News' PM Express Business Edition on March 6, Dr. Yamson emphasized that private businesses have the expertise and discipline needed to drive economic recovery, qualities often lacking in the public sector.
He reassured foreign investors that Ghana had hit its lowest economic point and could only improve from here. Highlighting renewed economic dialogues, he expressed confidence that political leaders and private enterprises could collaborate for sustainable growth.
Dr. Yamson encouraged businesses to remain committed, invest, and work collectively to reset Ghana’s economic trajectory, leveraging the country’s strategic position in Africa for long-term prosperity.
