QNET Addresses Negative Claims in Press Briefing
On Monday, April 14, 2025, QNET held a press briefing in Accra. The global lifestyle and wellness company addressed negative claims from media publications. They stated that their brand is being misrepresented for personal gain.
Biram Fall, the Regional General Manager, and Mrs. Naana Quartey, the Global Compliance Officer, spoke at the event. They clarified issues related to the arrest of 44 Cameroonians and scam victims.
QNET Disassociates from Arrests
Mr. Fall stated that some Cameroonians were arrested for internet fraud. They were lured to Ghana with false job promises. He emphasized that these individuals acted independently and not on behalf of QNET.
Clarification on QNET Offices
Mr. Fall explained that QNET does not have multiple offices in Ghana. The only official location is a training center operated by Bosomtwi Industries in East Legon, Accra. Many journalists are familiar with this center as it hosts various events.
Employment and Visa Scams
QNET clarified it is not an employment or travel agency. The company does not offer jobs or visas to any country. They warned against individuals exploiting others with false promises of overseas work.
Support for Law Enforcement
QNET has assisted over 250 victims in reporting fraudulent activities using its name. In 2024, they initiated over 42 legal cases across Sub-Saharan Africa to combat scams.
Public Education Campaign Against Scams
In Ghana, QNET launched a campaign called "QNET Against Scams." This initiative aims to educate people about their business model and products while helping them identify scams. They used billboards, radio, television, social media, and online news portals for outreach.
Mr. Fall concluded by reminding the media about QNET's true nature as a business model. He urged them to share accurate information in their publications: “We do not promise jobs or visas.” He condemned those misusing their name and encouraged the public to report suspicious claims.
People can verify business claims through QNET’s official website (www.qnet.net). For suspicious activities, they can contact via WhatsApp (+233 256 630 005) or email ([email protected]).
