RIFE Energy Ghana, in partnership with Empower New Energy, has completed a 507 kWp solar energy project at the National Information Technology Agency (NITA) in Accra.
The installation, featuring roof- and carport-mounted solar PV systems, will generate 696,000 kWh annually, reducing NITA's energy costs and its carbon footprint by 497 metric tons yearly.
The project, supported by a 15-year agreement, reflects Ghana's commitment to renewable energy and sustainability. Minister for Communications, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, praised the initiative for advancing green infrastructure, while Norway's Ambassador, Ingrid Mollestad, highlighted its international collaboration.
RIFE Energy Ghana led the engineering and construction, showcasing the role of public-private partnerships in achieving SDG goals for affordable clean energy and climate action. The project sets a benchmark for innovation and sustainability in the region.
