President John Maham has appointed Reindorf Twumasi Ankrah as Acting CEO of the Ghana Integrated Aluminium Development Corporation (GIADEC).
Established under Act 976 to foster a competitive Integrated Aluminium Industry in Ghana, GIADEC manages government investments in the aluminium sector including stakes in VALCO and the Ghana Bauxite Company and promotes strategic partnerships that require at least 30% local private ownership in mining, refining, or smelting ventures.
The IAI initiative includes four major projects aimed at expanding operations and launching new ventures.
A distinguished lawyer with an LLM in Energy Law and extensive expertise in dispute resolution, policy analysis, and project financing, Ankrah is expected to provide strong leadership as GIADEC navigates the complexities of the aluminium industry and advances Ghana’s industrial agenda.
