Rev. Stephen Wilfred Arthur appointed Acting Director General of GCAA

President John Mahama has appointed Rev. Stephen Wilfred Arthur as Acting Director General of the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA).

With over 30 years of experience in air transport, regulation, and strategic planning, Rev. Arthur aims to boost aviation safety, security, and global competitiveness.

Prior to this appointment, he served as GCAA’s Director of Economic Regulation and Business Development, where he led reforms in airline policy and regulatory compliance.

He has played key roles in shaping national aviation frameworks, chaired the steering committee for Ghana’s passenger information systems, and represented Ghana at ICAO conferences.

A fellow of the Global Association of Certified Chartered Economists, he also holds an Executive MBA from the UK.

Beyond aviation, Rev. Arthur is the founder of Kingdom Family International, a Christian-based ministry.
