On Wednesday, March 13, SIC Insurance PLC fulfilled a non-motor insurance claim of $1,020,777.98 to the Volta River Authority (VRA) under its Asset All Risk Policy. The claim covered damages from an explosion in the feed water pipeline at VRA’s Heat Recovery Steam Generator in Aboadze, Takoradi.

Presenting the cheque to VRA CEO Ing. Edward Ekow Obeng-Kenzo, SIC Acting Managing Director, Mr. James Agyenim-Boateng, reaffirmed SIC’s commitment to honoring claims promptly, emphasizing the company’s financial strength and reliability.

“This should send a strong signal to the business community that SIC Insurance PLC has the financial muscle to pay claims on time,” he said.

VRA’s CEO commended SIC Insurance PLC and called for stronger collaboration between state institutions to enhance efficiency and demonstrate the strength of public sector businesses.
